Finding Your Purpose (Part 2): Living Out Your God-Given Calling

In Part 1 of our series on finding your purpose, we focused on the importance of understanding where your identity is found—rooted in Jesus, not in your achievements or what the world says about you. In Part 2, we dive into how to live out the God-given purpose He has uniquely designed for you. Now that we’ve established our identity in Christ, it’s time to walk confidently in the calling He has placed on our lives.

Living Out Your Purpose: Stepping Into What God Has for You

After we recognize who we are in Christ, the next step is to move forward and live out our calling. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by this idea of purpose. We may wonder, What is my purpose? What does it look like to live it out? But the truth is, God has already equipped us for the good works He has planned for us. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

The key is recognizing that our purpose is already aligned with the gifts and passions God has placed within us. Whether it’s being a loving mom, pursuing a career, serving in ministry, or supporting others in their journey, your purpose is an extension of who God made you to be.

What Does It Mean to Walk in Your Calling?

Living out your purpose isn’t about perfection. It’s about obedience to God’s leading and trusting that He will use every part of you for His glory. Walking in your calling means being faithful with the opportunities God places in front of you and being open to His guidance, even when it doesn’t make sense.

In this episode, we talk about how to start living out your purpose daily by:

  • Being obedient in the small things: Your calling doesn’t have to be a big, grand gesture; sometimes it’s found in the little things—serving your family, being kind to your neighbors, or speaking life into others.

  • Stepping out in faith: Don’t wait for the “perfect” time. Step into your purpose today, trusting that God will equip you as you go.

  • Being intentional: Whether it’s through work, relationships, or ministry, be intentional about how you live out your purpose and bring glory to God in everything you do.

Using Your Gifts to Serve Others

One of the most profound ways to live out your purpose is by using the gifts God has given you to serve others. Romans 12:6-8 reminds us that, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us…if it is to serve, then serve; if it is to teach, then teach.” Your purpose isn’t just about personal fulfillment—it’s about using your gifts for the benefit of others and advancing God’s kingdom.

In this episode, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your unique gifts and talents. How can you use them to serve those around you? Whether it’s in your job, church, or family, God wants to use you to bless others.

Trusting God with Your Journey

Sometimes, it’s easy to feel uncertain or impatient as we seek to live out our purpose. But the truth is, God’s timing is perfect. We don’t need to have it all figured out today. Instead, we need to trust Him with the journey, knowing that He will reveal more of our purpose as we walk with Him.

Closing Thoughts

In the end, living out your purpose is about being faithful to God and trusting that He is leading you every step of the way. As you align your life with His Word, use your gifts for His glory, and stay obedient to His call, you’ll find that living out your purpose becomes a natural outflow of who you are in Him.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. We pray that as you walk in your God-given purpose, you’ll find peace, joy, and fulfillment in every step.

With love,
Maddie & Kait
