We foster community and encourage women to walk in their calling with the Lord in every season of life. We believe that God has given us each our individual gifts to be able to serve and love people while walking in His purpose for our lives. We are multi-passionate entrepreneurs and mom’s, and we want to invite you to join our community no matter what kind of gal pal you are. Moms, single girls, newly married, entrepreneurs - you are all welcome and will find something here to encourage you.
When we fully trust God with our “yes,” He takes the pieces of our lives and weaves them into something far greater than we could ever imagine. Surrender isn’t about losing control—it’s about giving the reins to the One who holds it all.

MEET MADDIE!
Hi there, I’m Maddie! I’m a wife to Shaun, a mom to two boys, Keegan and Shepherd, and a woman who is constantly learning what it means to walk with Jesus every day. I live in the Upstate of the beautiful state of South Carolina where I spend most of my days with family doing something outdoors.
I am an enneagram two wing three and genuinely LOVE people. My favorite drink is an Iced Matcha with Oat Milk and three pumps of sugar free vanilla. You are almost always going to find me in a pair of Dunks, Air Forces, or Blazers. Chocolate brown and forest green are my favorite colors. I love traveling, exploring new places, and eating yummy food. I am inspired by generational wisdom, film, outdoors, old photographs, peoples’ testimonies, and mundane “in-between” moments.
I’m so glad you’re here. My prayer is that The Refined Sisterhood would be a place where you feel seen, heard, and loved—just as you are.
MEET KAIT!
Hi, friend! I’m Kaitlin! The other half of this duo. First and foremost, I love Jesus. My heart’s desire is to walk in alignment with Him daily, loving others the way He calls us to. Second, I am a wife to Hunter and mama to two toddler boys — Beckett and Braxton. I am a big family girl and everything about my life, family, and Jesus are a really big deal to me.
I’m a lover, a dreamer, a loyal friend, and always up for an adventure. Daily joys are any fun drink (coffee, chai, matcha, milkshakes — I love them all), walks in the sunshine, singing, delicious food, and all things outdoors. I feel called to a life that is full of joy and love and I am always up for trying new things. Just like Maddie (we’re a lot alike if you can’t already tell), I am an enneagram two wing three, always in a pair of sneakers and something trendy, and my favorite color is a deep green.
I believe in surrounding yourself with people who encourage and uplift you. Serving and encouraging others is my heart and my purpose. You, my friend, are loved and it is a joy to have you here in this space.

While Kaitlin & Maddie are the ones who founded The Refined Sisterhood, we would be lost if we had no one to help us grow! So, we have expanded our team to bring in more women who want to serve Christ and help us bring our vision to life!

Most days you can find her watching a movie with her hubby over a home cooked (crockpot) meal, sipping on a strawberry lemonade poppi, having coffee with friends, writing in her journal, or planning her next trip. She truly loves people, writing, and creating and is so grateful to be a part of this space!
WHY “THE REFINED SISTERHOOD”?
Hey there, friend! Kaitlin here! Let me give you a bit of background. Back in the summer of 2019, both Maddie and I felt a strong stirring in our hearts from Jesus. Maddie began feeling led to start a community group where she could share her heart, do devotions, and grow alongside other women. At the same time, I also felt the pull toward building community and doing ministry. When Maddie shared her vision with me, I immediately felt that God was calling me to join her in this. But in that season, neither of us felt ready to jump in. We talked about it often but never took any steps forward because we weren’t sure what it would look like.
Fast forward to the summer of 2020—God’s tug on our hearts grew stronger. There are so many details I could share, but to keep it short, over the course of three months, I mentioned to Maddie four times that I felt we were meant to work together in some way. I’d forgotten about the community group we’d discussed earlier, but I knew God was calling us into something big. In August, we took a little vacation with our husbands, and during that week, we spent time pouring our hearts out to each other. That’s when Maddie felt God remind her of the community group idea from the year before, and when she mentioned it to me, I knew immediately that this was the answer. After refining the vision over the next year, we finally felt like we were stepping into the calling God had placed on our hearts.
We both have a deep passion for loving and serving others. We truly believe God brought us together not only to support each other but to serve His purpose together. As business owners and moms, we understand that life can be overwhelming, lonely, and full of challenges. There are seasons of abundance and seasons of drought. But no matter where you are in your journey, know that you’re never alone and that there is always purpose in your season. God is constantly refining us, no matter what we’re walking through and we are so honored to share our hearts with you on this platform, build community, and grow in Christ alongside you. We’re so thankful you’re part of this sisterhood, and we can’t wait to encourage you as you step into your purpose!
